It's so cold out here babe But you're burning in my heart I’m coming for you babe To tear your life apart So far and yet so close Since I left the West Coast When I close my eyes you rise and shine Another land another time (Where) The world is mine Another land another time (Where) The world is mine I’m working overtime Saving nickles saving dimes So far and yet so close Since I left the West Coast When I close my eyes you rise and shine I see it from five thousand miles (Where) The world is mine Another land another time (Where) The world is mine

about

Visitors Club debuts with cinematic noir EP featuring guest vocals from Emma Acs

Visitors Club is a new solo project from the Danish musician and composer Manoj Ramdas from Sonderborg, Denmark. After he completed his degree in music at GIT, Musicians Institute in Los Angeles he has recorded and toured the world with The Raveonettes, Sort Sol, Childrenn and Trentemøller in addition to composing music for commercials, documentaries and TV series both at home and abroad.

The concept of Visitors Club arose when Manoj wanted to make music with different female vocalists to give himself a greater spectrum to explore sonically and work within.

On the debut single ‘Where the World is Mine’ the choice fell on Emma Acs, who according to Manoj had the very special dark touch that the song needed in order to take it where Twin Peaks meets Nordic Noir. She is also featured on ‘Best Wishes’ which she has also written.

Manoj says: “With ‘Best Wishes’ I have tried to recreate an americana sound design and twisted it with twang guitar and electronics such as synthesizers, drum machine, horror movie infused programming and a water-phone. I always tend to write music inspired by my own composer heroes like Morricone, Goldsmith, Brian Eno, Badalamenti... But also by older electronic music pioneers like Tangerine Dream.

Besides the two tracks with Emma Acs on vocals the EP also has three instrumentals which is marked by Manoj’ very special touch for cinematic noir and his great love and admiration of movie composers. As the title ‘Visitors Club I’ hints at, more music is already on the way.... And we can already now tease that it will feature a new vocalist on the next EP.
